8:45 – I’d like to ask a pharmacology question. Does “if you take it your body quits making it,” apply to antipsychotics? The medications often interfere with neurochemical pathways, so that would be the approach in weaning off of them? Especially after more than a decade of reluctant use? In particularly Paliperidone.
18:19 – Nicole – I’m a 33yo female with a history of borderline ovarian tumors (first one at age 23). They’re not quite cancer and not quite benign. I currently have a borderline tumor in my body after doing a round of IVF (in vitro fertilization) in order to preserve my eggs for the future. I only have one little piece of an ovary left, and I refuse to do any more surgery. I’m fairly certain the answer to my health has something to do with the pituitary gland. My question is about which herbs would be most helpful since the IVF drugs were hyper-stimulating the pituitary in order to produce LH & FSH. I’m concerned the herbs meant to strengthen these glands may further contribute to the problem. I have a slightly low thyroid (off by one point), anemia, and low stomach acid/malabsorption. I’ve switched to about 70-80% fruits, smoothies/juices, raw foods, minimal salt/oil, incorporating 1-2 days of fasting, enemas, infrared sauna, and generally aiming to alkalize my body. What are your thoughts? – Nicole
